A Church in a Bar?Some christians have a hard time with that one, but that's ok because we aren't here to reach christians. We are here to reach out to people that don't like church much, and frankly don't trust church much either. Underground Fellowship was formed to be a place where people can come as they are and find that having a relationship with God does not mean living a life in a spiritual vaccuum. Jesus was known for hanging out with the people who needed him, and not the religious people, and that sounds like a good idea to us too! Come and see for yourself that God loves us even when we don't deserve it, and we are stronger together! |

Hope BuildersHope Builders was created as the Community Involvement arm of Underground Fellowship. Hope Builders seeks out the needs of people in our area who are working hard but still struggling and have nowhere to turn. Our vision is to pull the community together to meet needs whether it be a home renovation or getting someone a new pair of glasses who needs them. If you would like to get involved or just want more info go to bahopebuilders.com What We BelieveThe main thingWe believe that nothing is more important than you, the individual person. Jesus came to reach the individual right where they are and we are called to do the same. We are not here to build a big church, especially if that means losing sight of individual relationships and individual needs. About the ScripturesWe believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of God. About GodWe believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world. About MankindWe believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort alone. About SalvationWe believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ it is the only sufficient payment for their sin. About the Christian LifeWe believe that every Christian should live for Christ, live for each other, and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. About the ChurchWe believe that the church is not a building, but the people. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world. About BaptismWe believe that water baptism is an important outward sign of the grace of God in the life of a believer. It is symbolic of salvation, not salvation in itself. |
